Scott Baugh

Scott Baugh is a Constitutional Conservative who believes the purpose of government is to secure natural rights as articulated with ten words in the Declaration of Independence:

“That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men ...“

Scott believes deeply in the Founding Principles of our nation and has dedicated his career in public service to advancing those principles.

An Orange County business owner and attorney specializing in the real estate, healthcare, energy and technology sectors, Scott is the former Chairman of the Orange County Republican Party and former California State Assembly Republican Leader.

Prior to his election to the State Assembly in 1995, Scott served as a corporate counselor for Union Pacific Railroad. He is an active member of the community, having founded the OC Marathon Foundation, a local charity that has helped teach 40,000 young people about exercise and nutrition. Scott serves as Chairman of the Gang Reduction Intervention Partnership (GRIP) which works with law enforcement throughout the county to keep kids out of gangs. He is a founder and a trustee at Pacifica Christian High School of Orange County. Scott and his wife Wendy, live in Huntington Beach, where they have lived for over 30 years.
